Personal Greeting

On Facebook, I read the following. Maybe others of you saw it. “Always we hear the cry from teenagers saying what can we do where can we go?” The answer given by Northland College Principal, John Tapene is: “ Go home, mow the lawn, wash the windows, learn to cook, build a raft, get a job, visit the sick, learn your lessons and when you are done read a book. Your town does not owe you recreational facilities and your parents do not owe you fun. The world does not owe you a living you owe the world something. “ CoPMN is surrounded by teenagers wanting us to make their life happen. Of course, we cannot. God designed us each with a purpose and it is up to each of us to allow God room in our life that we (God and I) can make it happen. “I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, “ plans to prosper you and to to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29.11 As an organization with a mission to transform lives of orphans and vulnerable children through the promises of God it is a God size challenge to get our teenagers to realize that they are part of a great Kingdom – God’s Kingdom. The world and all the material things that come with it can make it difficult to trust God to fulfill His purpose. We have a slew of teenagers and we need constant prayer that the lives of these children will be transformed by God’s word. I know there are hundreds of prayers being said daily on behalf of our children and for this we are grateful. Your role in this ministry is vital to God completing His plan. Thank you for your faithfulness!

What’s Next

  • We have had the help of three additional volunteers throughout March. All three are leaving in April to return to their perspective homes. They will be missed. We are grateful for those God asks to come and who answer willingly.
  • Our friends in Germany have come across a possible new source of support through the German government. We will together be looking into the opportunity.
  • Janis and Uncle Mike will take a cruise from Walvis Bay, Namibia to Genoa, Italy departing on April 17th. They will spend the weekend in Germany with our friends from Kinder und familienhilfe Namibia who have an annual fundraiser for CoPMN that weekend. May God’s light shine through Janis and Uncle Mike as they represent CoPMN.

Specific Needs

ToivoOur need for succession planning seems to keep growing. Please pray for young, trained, Namibian adults to come forward to take over the key positions of CoPMN. Over the next four years we are trusting God for a plan!

Pray for focus for Francina and Victoria as they struggle with distance learning.

Pray for God to show His hand clearly as it relates to Sylvia’s knee problem.

As Toivo quickly approaches the close of his second year at PC we are trusting God for further funding.

Sylvia needs a break from the ministry and we are asking God to make a path clear for she and Richard to have some R & R.

  • Oh my goodness, we had two wonderful outings in March sponsored by our friends at SHOFAR. All of our families had an opportunity to have a boat cruise around Walvis Bay harbor (Chandre in picture) and we had a braii and beach day in Swakop! What a gift! Through our friends at SHOFAR our families are having opportunities to experience things we hardly even dream about.
  • Theresa & SuzanneWe are so grateful and humbled by the sacrifice of time, energy and talent by so many.
  • We are grateful for the volunteers who sacrificially help in the ministry (above Theresa and Susanne).
  • Uncle Mike’s willingness to take Janis with him on an adventure of a lifetime!
  • Sannetjie is doing well in her training in hospitality and tourism and has been placed for on the job training at a 5 star hotel in Swakopmund. Her German and English language is serving her well.
  • Francina received all of her books for her course study this year and is busy with assignments. We are grateful for Ben and Caroline who are assisting Francina on many levels.

Personal Prayer Request

Help me Lord to abandon myself to you and in doing so be an example.

Love from the Namib, Brenda
