Personal Greeting

For whatever reason this month I came face to face with my own mortality.  Maybe because I was facing surgery, I began to contemplate what will happen to “my children” when I die.  God granting the time, we will plan so that everyone knows where the next step of the journey will take them.  However, God’s time is His time!   Becoming acutely aware of the barrenness surrounding us physically and spiritually, I once again began to focus on the future.  The thought of moving 3 children and myself from one continent to another had me reminding myself to breath!   I mentioned a 30- month plan before and will have to keep myself focused to fulfill it!  Despite all my own plans, feelings and thought processes the reality is that I know I must walk the talk!  As Hebrews 12. 2 reminds me, I must fix my eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of my faith, who for the joy set before him, endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Praise God for His love and faithfulness to His children and Praise God for you and your faithfulness to us!!

  • Sylvia and Richard arrived safely in the USA and have been enjoying the beautiful Rocky Mountains!  Their family will join them in NH at the beginning of May.
  • My foot surgery was pushed up and went well.  Foot is mending!
  • Lea arrived safely and my family was glad to have her back even if just for 9 days!  She is thriving in her work and social life in Germany.
  • Stella had a wonderful time on holiday with her Dad, Peter and my family enjoyed Peter, as well, for a couple of nights.  Stella arrived back in Germany safely and all of us here miss her.  Her time with us was a gift from God.
  • The students at TKCA did well at the end of first term.  School is closed now until May 29.
  • Ms. Nan and Elizabeth have confirmed they are on their way back for a 3 week stay.  Of course, we all look forward to that time together.
  • Daria, a young German volunteer, will join us at the end of May for a 3 month stay with our family!
  • Remaining grateful to God as my children can live among and with so many different people.

Specific Need

As Sylvia and Richard continue their journey of rest and time with God may His mercies precede them!

Brenda is still awaiting a new work permit and Teacher Boniface will be submitting his.  Pray for favor on our requests.

CoPMN still has four boys in rehab who need prayer.  Additionally, a few of our older girls are now defying the rules of family and/or school.  Realizing this is all part of the journey we do ask for prayers of protection over all the children God has entrusted to us. Each stage has been an adventure, to say the least!!

Travel mercies for all the different team members traveling during May.  Continued prayers that we find a high school in the USA that will accept Hailey as a student are appreciated.

Ms. Francy, Director of our Pre-School, has many health issues which need prayer.

Pray that as Janis, Stefanus and Hailey work at the horse farm this holiday that they will shine the light of Jesus to the many people they see.

Pray for the Benz family who, with God’s wisdom manage a household with 8 girls.  6 of the 8 girls in this photo are from this family!!   No easy task!

Our children and staff are all traveling around this country during this school holiday.  May their paths be safe.

As mentioned at the beginning, I must keep my eyes focused on God being thankful for each day that we have.  My prayer is that His plan will become clear and that I will follow His directions without fault.

Personal Prayer

May I “Commit to the Lord whatever I do and my plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16.3

Love from the Namib Desert,
Brenda, Janis, Stefanus & Hailey
